A heartwarming moment was captured when a baby elephant tripped and fell while playing with a dog on a farm in northern Thailand.

A heartwarming moment was captured when a young elephant tripped while playing with a  dog at a farm in northern Thailand.

The nine-month-old elephant, T-noi, had just stepped out of his enclosure when a small dog began barking at him.

Curious, T-noi paused to see where the dog was heading. As he tried to follow, the baby elephant lost his footing on the muddy ground and took a  tumble.

T-noi quickly got back on his feet, but before he could recover, the dog—now joined by another—turned the tables and chased him back into his enclosure. Once inside, T-noi stopped and cautiously watched the two dogs.

This playful encounter occurred at Rai Aomgord Phu Kao Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Thailand, after a rainstorm on May 30.

Farm manager Sathian Jaikham explained, “The baby elephant and the dogs have a bit of a rivalry. T-noi always wants to be the center of attention, so their friendship is a little tense.”
