Tropic Air supported the rescue of a six month old baby elephant from a remote part of Samburu in Northern Kenya. She was abandoned by her herd having fallen into a well, and was taken into the care of wildlife rangers who alerted the 51 Degrees anti-poaching rapid response team.
This is the first time that our new H130 helicopter has had a baby elephant on board – she was airlifted to the Reteti (R.E.S.C.U.E) center for orphan elephants, located in Namyunyak Conservancy at the foot to the Mathews Range.
