Footage captures the moment the calf dives headfirst into a small basin of water, splashing happily as he falls to one side

Unlike most animals that shy away from bath time, one baby elephant at the Elephant Nature Park in Mae Taeng District, Chiang Mai, Thailand, shows pure joy in the tub.

Footage captures the young calf diving head-first into a small water-filled basin, splashing happily as he tumbles onto his side.

Watch the video at the end.

With his front legs kicking against the edge, he sends water flying across the floor, clearly enjoying every moment.

The playful youngster even manages to squeeze all four legs into the tub, dipping his trunk and splashing about, although his size makes it a tight fit.

After a few attempts to sit comfortably, he stands, kicking out a back leg to create another round of splashes. Enthusiastically, he draws up water with his trunk and sprays it around, soaking the area.

But the real surprise comes when his mother steps in, using her trunk to pull the tub—and the calf—across the ground.

Caught off guard, the little elephant topples over as the tub moves away. Undeterred, he quickly scampers back under his mother, eager to reclaim his beloved bath spot.

This adorable scene is reminiscent of another joyful bath session caught on camera earlier this year at The Royal Elephant Kraal and Village in Ayutthaya, Thailand.

In that video, a baby elephant playfully splashes while a Danish tourist attempts to give him a rinse with a hose, adding another memorable moment to the list of elephants enjoying their bath time.
