In Austria, 30 kilograms of gold were accidentally found during repair work. About a sensational find wrote Austrian publication Heute.
The event took place in Vienna. It was there that the owner of one of the old villas in the Pečing district decided to make repairs and invited a repair crew. Most of the work had to be done in the basement. It was there that the plumber saw a strange rope sticking out of the concrete floor. With the permission of the owner of the villa, the men took a tool and began to break the concrete floor. Thus they dug up a metal chest with gold coins.
Experts say that these coins may have been hidden even before the Second World War.
The find has already been valued at at least 2.3 million euros. Historians say that the men found the so-called “Mozart coins”.
According to Austrian law, the find must be registered with the authorities for proper evaluation. And only then the owner of the land and the one who found the treasure will be able to receive half of the find.
