Jill Eberhart and her son, Thomas, noticed the large container by the side of the road and, happily, opted to investigate what was inside.

I can’t picture their reaction when they saw the starving dog curled up inside.

Jill and Thomas offered the dog some water as they waited for animal control.

Taylor Hawkins, an animal control and animal handler, named the puppy Eddy and is caring for him.

Eddy became stronger by the day—look at him today!

He no longer resembles the mіѕeгаЬɩe creature we saw cowering in that plastic container!

Oh, those saggy ears!
