These creatures retain their playful nature well into adulthood. There’s a charming tale of an adult elephant who adorably insisted on his caretaker serenading him with a lullaby daily. How can anyone resist such endearing antics?

Like human children, baby elephants relish the company of their peers, and playful wrestling becomes one of their beloved pastimes.

They enthusiastically roll, pinning, and tripping over one another in bouts of wrestling, filling the air with boisterous laughter.

A recent sighting captured this phenomenon perfectly. Two baby elephants were spotted engaged in a friendly wrestling match under the watchful eyes of their parents.

This lively pair went all out, employing their heads, trunks, and legs to try and topple each other. Every victorious moment was celebrated by sitting or lying on top of the fallen comrade, evoking peals of laughter from onlookers.

Even an intervention from an adult elephant couldn’t halt the match. Seeing that the calves were harmless to each other, they were allowed to continue their playful antics under the vigilant supervision of their parents and herd members.

The two young elephants thoroughly enjoyed their wrestling match, only pausing when exhaustion set in. After a rest, they rejoined their families; their spirits uplifted and ready to face new adventures.

Michelle Broadhurst and Jacques Joubert masterfully captured these adorable, humorous moments during a North Kruger National Park, SA tour.

This delightful video is just the ticket for anyone seeking a dash of positivity in these uncertain times. Be prepared to fall head over heels for these energetic baby elephants!
