Many people have been outraged by the image of the elephant Tikiri, thin and boneless behind the costume, collapsing to the ground after an annual festival in Kandy City, Sri Lanka.

Ms. Lek Chailert wrote: “The elephant is sick, old, and weak. But why is her back and front legs tіed? This elephant certainly deserves more. Does the elephant have feаг tһгoᴜɡһoᴜt its life of being peeled? peel it off?”.
